About the Email Deliverability Check

If your email lands in spam — or never arrives — the cause is almost always authentication. This free deliverability test checks everything receivers look at: your MX records, SPF, DKIM, DMARC and BIMI, then scores the result and explains, in plain English, exactly what to fix.

It runs the DNS lookups from our server so it sees the same records a receiving mail server would.

What it checks

  • MX — whether the domain can receive mail at all, and which servers handle it.
  • SPF — which servers may send as you, plus a count against SPF's 10-lookup limit.
  • DKIM — whether your outgoing mail is cryptographically signed.
  • DMARC — your policy for failures, and whether you get reports.
  • BIMI — the optional record that shows your logo in supporting inboxes.

The order to fix things

Start with SPF and DKIM: both must exist and pass before DMARC can do anything useful. Then publish DMARC at p=none and read the aggregate reports for a few weeks to confirm all your legitimate senders pass. Only then tighten to quarantine and finally reject. Jumping straight to reject is the classic way to start silently losing real mail.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my email go to spam?

Most often because SPF, DKIM or DMARC is missing or misconfigured, so receivers can't verify the mail is really from you. This test shows which of the three is the problem.

Do I need all of SPF, DKIM and DMARC?

Yes, in practice. SPF authorises sending servers, DKIM signs the message, and DMARC tells receivers what to do when those fail — and gives you reports. Major providers increasingly require all three for bulk senders.

What is a good deliverability score?

Aim for 100: MX present, a valid SPF record, DKIM signing, and DMARC at quarantine or reject with an rua reporting address.
