Attendance Calculator

🔒 In your browser

Attendance % plus how many classes you can skip or must attend.

How it works

Check your attendance percentage and how much room you have. Enter the classes you've attended, the total held, and the minimum required (75% at most Indian colleges). You'll see whether you're safe, how many classes you can still skip, or how many you must attend to catch up.

🔒 Calculated entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded.

🔒 Calculated in your browser: your marks, grades and dates are never uploaded. Grading rules and conversion formulas vary by board and university, so treat the result as a reliable estimate and confirm anything official with your institution.

About the Attendance Calculator

This free attendance calculator shows your attendance percentage and, more usefully, how much room you have left. Enter the classes you've attended, the total held, and the minimum required — 75% at most Indian colleges — and it tells you whether you're safe.

It runs in your browser, and works out both how many classes you can still skip and how many you must attend to catch up.

What it tells you

  • Your current attendance percentage.
  • Whether you meet the required minimum (usually 75%).
  • If you're above it: how many more classes you can skip and stay safe.
  • If you're below it: how many classes in a row you must attend to reach the minimum.

A worked example

You've attended 42 of 50 classes, so you're at 84% against a 75% requirement — safely above. How many more can you skip? Each skip adds to the total held but not to attended, so after skipping x classes you're at 42 ÷ (50 + x). Solving 42 ÷ (50 + x) ≥ 0.75 gives x ≤ 6, so you can miss up to 6 more and still hold 75%. If you were instead at 30 of 50 (60%), the tool flips the question and tells you how many classes in a row you must attend to climb back to the line.

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate attendance percentage?

Divide the classes you attended by the total classes held and multiply by 100. Attending 42 of 50 classes is 42 ÷ 50 × 100 = 84%.

How many classes can I skip and keep 75%?

The calculator works this out for you: it finds the largest number of future classes you can miss while staying at or above your required percentage.

I'm below 75% — how many classes must I attend?

Enter your numbers and it shows how many classes you'd need to attend consecutively to climb back to the required minimum.

Why is 75% the usual requirement?

Most Indian universities and colleges set 75% as the minimum attendance to be eligible to sit exams. The tool defaults to 75% but you can change it to whatever your institution requires.

Does the calculator count future classes?

It projects forward: 'classes you can skip' assumes those become held-but-not-attended, and 'must attend' assumes those become held-and-attended, so both answers reflect what happens as the term continues.

Is my data private?

Yes — everything is calculated in your browser.
