The formula depends on your university
- CBSE — percentage = CGPA × 9.5 (the official conversion for the Class X indicative CGPA).
- VTU (2015 / 2017 / 2018 schemes) — percentage = (CGPA − 0.75) × 10.
- VTU (2021–22 / 2022 scheme onward) — percentage = CGPA × 10.
- GTU — percentage = (CGPA − 0.5) × 10, per GTU Circular GTU/Academic/2013/4903.
- Mumbai University — the legacy CBCS formula was 7.1 × CGPA + 11, but the university repealed formula-based conversion on 1 Jan 2026 and now issues a certificate from raw marks.
- Others — many use the × 9.5 convention; check your official guidelines or use a custom multiplier.

Can I convert percentage back to CGPA?
